Jordan Anthony

With a voice that holds the weight of vulnerability and the pulse of euphoria, Jordan Anthony is emerging as one of pop music’s most emotionally resonant new voices. Born in Australia and now based in Los Angeles, Jordan’s music fuses intimate, soul-baring songwriting with slick, arena-ready pop — a sound he describes as “ballads that move.” Whether he’s reflecting on heartbreak or falling headfirst into a crush, Jordan’s music captures moments that feel real, raw and wildly relatable.
Jordan’s journey into music began as a lifeline. He wrote his first song at age seven to cope with being bullied at school. “It wasn’t a hit, but it was a song,” he recalls. “It helped me say the things I couldn’t say out loud.” From that moment, he knew music would be his everything — not just a passion, but a purpose.
“I realized I wanted to connect with people through my stories and make others feel less alone. That’s still my ‘why’ to this day.”
He credits his parents for laying the foundation early. Enrolled in piano lessons at age five (reluctantly at first), Jordan became self-sufficient as a musician and songwriter by his early teens. “They always told me I’d thank them later. They were right.” With no Plan B, he pursued music with tunnel vision, and it wasn’t long before the world started to notice.
In 2019, he placed in the Top 4 on The Voice Australia, then went on to represent Australia in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest with his original song “We Will Rise,” placing eighth globally. The same year, he headlined One Big Voice at Perth’s RAC Arena — a feat he repeated in 2022 and 2023. In 2024, Jordan was handpicked for American Idol, where he became a Top 14 finalist and won over U.S. audiences with his compelling vocals and grounded authenticity. The opportunity prompted his full-time move to Los Angeles to take his career global.

Jordan’s latest single “Reckless” represents the next evolution of his sound: groove-forward pop with emotional edge. Born in a session with Grammy-nominated producer Emile Ghantous and writer Sam Sznd, “Reckless” was originally crafted as a pitch for another artist. But when they heard it back, it was clear: this song had to be his. “It just hit too close to home. That rush of falling hard, maybe even a little too hard, for someone who makes you feel a bit unhinged—in the best way,” Jordan says. “We wanted it to feel singable, emotional, but fun and addictive. That late-night-drive, scream-the-lyrics kind of track.”
“Reckless” builds on the momentum of Jordan’s previous release “Cherry” (with fellow Idol alum Ajii), further defining his unique lane in the pop landscape: emotionally intelligent, melodically infectious, and unafraid to blur genre lines. Blending pop, R&B, and a hint of nostalgic charm, Jordan is creating music that’s as thoughtful as it is replay-worthy.
With over 600,000 streams on his debut single “Broken Love” (featured on Spotify’s “Peaceful Pop” and “New Pop” playlists), multiple headline shows in his hometown of Perth, and a growing international fanbase, Jordan’s story is only beginning. His collaborators to date include MSquared (Michael DeLorenzis & Michael Paynter), Andro Pop, Jake Clark, Emile Ghantous, Pom Pom, Greg Wattenberg, Brett Koolik, and Taylor Sparks — a who’s-who of hitmakers who believe in his vision.
Whether exploring heartbreak, joy, longing, or love, Jordan’s songwriting is rooted in real experience. “I write from a place of truth—whatever I’m going through,” he says. “And if someone hears my song and feels like I captured exactly what they’ve been feeling, then I’ve done what I set out to do.”
Outside the studio, Jordan is a soccer fanatic, beach lover, PlayStation enthusiast and proud big brother. He recently gave a TEDx Talk in Perth about his journey and the power of using music as a tool for healing, a mission that continues to guide his career.
Jordan Anthony is building more than just a catalog — he’s building connection and with every track, every lyric and every live performance, he’s proving that vulnerability is strength — and pop music can be both massive and meaningful.
